Cost: From $30 to $45
The Growing Season Workshop Series aims to connect the local community with sustainability and life-skill experts through accessible and affordable workshops. The workshops are open to everyone, and the revenue generated from workshops supports both the presenters and continued workshop programming at the UBC Farm.
Some popular past workshops include cheese making, seed saving and plant breeding, food preservation by fermentation, and a traditional Maya cooking class.

Feature: UBC Farm Symposium
Join students, faculty, staff, and community members to celebrate UBC engagement in food sustainability!
The symposium, hosted by the Centre for Sustainable Food Systems at the UBC Farm, features more than 150 student projects conducted on food system science, farming technologies, community engagement, and environmental stewardship.

In its 7th year, EPIC Fest has moved from the Vancouver Convention Centre to an all-new venue, the VanDusen Botanical Garden. The Festival combines its sustainable living marketplace with live outdoor entertainment, food and drink tastings, gardening workshops, documentary screenings, and dozens of speakers on various sustainability and environmental topics.
Please bring your own bags with you. Parking, while available at the Gardens, is also limited; consider taking public transit or biking. The Bike Valet will be on site to check in bicycles.
