Workshop Review: Apartment Food Gardening for Beginners

Thank you all for coming out to our Apartment Food Gardening for Beginners workshop at the start of this month!

Gardener (and salad aficionado) Alexander McNaughton joined us for an evening of food gardening and blew us away with how easy it is to grow food in small spaces by reusing milk crates and coffee sacks. All you have to do is go down to your local grocery store and ask for them. Who knew?

Participants learned how to get a successful pea crop out of a small space as well as a host of other handy tips for growing and harvesting everything from micro-greens and herbs to squashes and other vegetables suited for container growing.

A huge thank you also goes out to Yard Works Supply Ltd., who generously donated all that lovely soil used for the starter pots that workshop participants took home.
