Burnaby 2013 Environment Week

Sustainable Garden Fair

The Sustainable Garden Fair is a day of free activities and workshops on local food for the whole family. There will be 10 workshops on different topics, from keeping chickens and growing food to preserving food at home, as well as outdoor activity stations for plant pot making and seed starting -- and much, much more!

FARMcamp for Youth
Location: Linnaea Farm School (Cortes Island)
Dates: July 2, 2013 to July 9th, 2013
Cost: $500 (Registration open now)
FARMcamp is a 7-day summer camp for youth aged 14 to 18 that incorporates workshops (e.g. farm skills, group decision-making), community building activities, participant-led workshops, and host of other activities.
There are 35 spots in the program. Financial assistance is also available for those who qualify.
